Concept Narrative

The concept behind The Phoenix Literary Arts Journal’s first reprint in many years was rebirth. The fire symbolism coming from the title the Phoenix. Along with spotlighting Pittsburgh, the home of CCAC. I used these 3 concepts to create this piece. I used real images of Pittsburgh and painted loose silhouettes of a few buildings and two different bridges. I used my “Dots” to create a background that represent fire in color but also shows the growth and variation of fire. Along with creating handmade type for the title of the publication.
